JOB DESCRIPTION
Requirements:
National Senior Certificate (Grade 12)
Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, ICT/Engineering or a related field
Proven experience in a similar role, with a track record of growing a business unit within a company
Strong understanding of Dell products and services, as well as the IT industry as a whole
Knowledge of the local market and experience working in the South Africa is a plus
Exceptional written and oral communication skills with ability to coordinate work activities with remote teams
Excellent leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and lead a team
Strong analytical and conceptualization skills (e. G. , the ability to "join the dots", and communicate this at multiple levels)
Working effectively within local and distributed teams
Excellent planning, interpersonal, problem solving, leadership skills.
Knowledge of technological trends to build strategy
Understanding of budgets and business- Lanning
Ability to conduct technological analyses and research
Effective and productive collaborator to drive cross- Functional initiatives
Excellent analytical and problem- Olving skills to facilitate data- Driven decision- Making, with a proven track record of iteration and experimentation
Must have an executive presence and proven leadership skills to apply when partnering and engaging with executive- Level leaders with constructive confrontation and collaboration.
Responsibilities:
Develop and implement strategies to grow Dell's business within the following areas:
Storage (Storage, Data Protection, Coverged/Hyperconverged Infrastructure)
Client Devices (Core Client, Workstations, Dell Endpoint Security, Latitude Rugged)
Server (Server/VMware) and Networking
APEX (APEX Cloud, APEX Data Storage Services)
Identify and pursue new business opportunities for Dell products and services
Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including Dell, the company management and customers
Monitor market trends and competitor activities to stay informed of industry developments
Manage the Dell business unit budget, ensuring optimal return on investment
Lead and manage a team of sales and marketing professionals to achieve Dell business unit goals
Collaborate with other business units within the company to identify cross- Elling opportunities and drive overall company growth
Ensure compliance with Dell and the company policies and procedures
Increase the Dell specific Revenue
Build capability (resources, skills, capacity, experience) within the organisation
Monitor and actively manage Dell status, rebates, certification compliance and new service offerings
Develop and maintain effectiveness and efficiencies within the organisation
Develop 3rd level support capabilities within the department.
Provide leadership and direction to a team of people
