Operational Accountant - Cape Town

Requirements:
Minimum Qualification and Experience
Relevant completed degree recommended
A minimum of 2 years post qualification working experience in general accounting
Experience within a manufacturing environment recommended
Computer literacy - MS Office Packages. SAP Experience recommended.
- Good understanding and working knowledge of Excel

- Ability to work under pressure and towards deadlines
- Good understanding of relevant legislation.
- Understanding of management principles and ability to design and implement systems.
- Knowledge of accounting and financial principles and practices
Responsibilities:
Regular reporting and follow- Up of financial health checks across the business, across the Group.
Provide hands- On assistance to internal departments in order to resolve any queries timeously.
Direct involvement in stocktake variance reporting and investigations / non- Compliance monitoring across the Group, including offsite warehouse locations.
Monitoring and maintaining production cost variance investigations and related reporting.
Highlighting of stock damages / anomalies to relevant parties.
Assist with month end and year end closings including routine monthly tasks.
Assist with the annual audit as well as the BEE audit process.
Fixed Asset commissioning, CAPEX reporting against budget across the Group.
Routine monthly reporting as well as ad- Hoc reporting requests.
Primary contact for collation of insurance related support and submitting of claims.
Support in completion and reporting against annual budgets.
Monitoring and maintaining purchase price variance investigations and related reporting.
