Lighting Technician - Johannesburg

Requirements:

Responsibilities:

• • Job Description: A lighting technician is responsible for the design, installation, maintenance, repair and operation of lighting systems for various projects, such as theater productions, concerts, television and film productions, corporate events, and more. They work closely with directors, producers, production managers, electricians, and other technical staff to ensure that the lighting design meets the artistic vision and technical requirements of the project.

• • Collaborate with directors, producers, and production managers to develop lighting designs that support the creative vision of the project.
• • Work with electricians and other technical staff to install, maintain, and program lighting equipment.
• • Manage and maintain inventory of lighting equipment.
• • Ensure that all lighting equipment meets safety and industry standards.
• • Perform routine maintenance and repair on lighting equipment to ensure optimal performance.
• • Operate lighting equipment during rehearsals and performances.
• • Make adjustments to lighting during performances to maintain consistency and quality.
• • Remain up-to-date with new lighting technologies and techniques.
