Requirements:
- • Bachelor's degree in biology, chemistry, or a related field
- • Prior experience working in a laboratory environment, specifically with experience performing basic lab techniques (such as pipetting, weighing chemicals, conducting assays, etc.)
- • Strong attention to detail
- • Good organizational skills with the ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
- • Must have excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
- • Familiarity with laboratory safety and the ability to follow established protocols
- • Must be able to work independently after receiving initial guidance and training
- • Basic proficiency in using computers, including software applications such as Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
- • Flexibility to work weekends or holidays as required
Responsibilities:
- • Assist with laboratory experiments by preparing reagents, making solutions, and performing routine lab procedures under the supervision of senior lab personnel.
- • Maintaining lab equipment, including cleaning, performing regular maintenance and calibration, and logging repair or maintenance needs.
- • Organize lab supplies and reagents, ensuring that stocks are well-maintained, properly labeled, and easily accessible.
- • Ensure adherence to established lab protocols and safety standards, including proper disposal of hazardous waste and maintaining suitable levels of cleanliness in the lab.
- • Collaborate effectively with senior lab personnel and researchers to support experimental design, execution, and interpretation.
- • Participate in team meetings, contribute to discussions, and provide support to team members as needed.
- • Manage data records and assist in the documentation of laboratory experiments by recording detailed protocols, observations, and other data as needed.
