Junior Sous Chef - Port Elizabeth

Requirements:
Previous experience in a 5 Star Establishment is essential.
Eastern Cape Province.
Live in position, accommodation provided, communal Kitchen and Laundry Facilities provided.
Our client a 5 Star Game Reserve is looking to employ a Junior Sous Chef, with previous experience in a 5 Star Establishment. The Client is located in the Eastern Cape on a well- Known Game Farm. Culinary School Diploma or Equivalent Qualification.
Previous experience in a Junior Sous Chef role within a 5 Star Establishment.
Excellent use of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, tools and processes.
Ability to multitask and the ability to work efficiently under pressure.
Great time management skills.
Great communication and inter personal skills.
Knowledge of the best and the latest cooking practices.

Responsibilities:
Running the kitchen in the absence of the Sous Chef and Head Chef.
Helping to train more junior members of staff.
Assuming responsibility for stock takes.
Learning ordering systems.
Meeting with suppliers.
Health and Safety and Food Hygiene responsibilities.
