General Worker - Johannesburg

Requirements:

• • Education: No specific educational requirements. However, a high school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• • Experience: Previous experience in a food processing or manufacturing environment is advantageous but not essential. Training will be provided.
• • Certifications: Food safety certification or willingness to obtain it upon employment is preferred.
• • Physical Requirements: Must be able to lift up to 30kg and perform repetitive motions. The role involves standing for long periods.
• • Attention to Detail: Ability to perform tasks with precision and care, ensuring high-quality outcomes.
• • Physical Stamina: Capable of standing for extended periods and performing physically demanding tasks.
• • Teamwork: Strong ability to work effectively as part of a team, contributing positively to team operations and working relationships.

• • Preparation and Processing: Prepare meat for casing, including trimming, cleaning, and ensuring pieces are correctly sized. Operate machinery for stuffing, linking, and shaping meat products within casings.
• • Quality Control: Conduct regular checks to ensure that meat casings meet the required standards of quality and safety. Identify and report any issues or deviations from the standard process.
• • Cleaning and Maintenance: Perform routine cleaning of work areas, tools, and equipment to maintain a hygienic work environment. Carry out basic maintenance and report any machinery faults to the supervisor.
• • Packaging: Efficiently package finished products, ensuring they are ready for distribution while adhering to packaging standards and guidelines.
• • Inventory Management: Assist in the management of supplies and inventory, including receiving, storing, and documenting inventory levels to ensure availability of necessary materials.
• • Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with team members to meet production targets and deadlines. Provide support to other areas of the production line as required.
• • Health and Safety Compliance: Adhere to all health and safety regulations and company policies to ensure a safe working environment for all employees.
