Requirements:
Minimum Requirement: CA (SA)/ Masters in finance/Development Finance or equivalent.
5 years? experience in structured Credit and Investment environment.
Knowledge of IFRS reporting standards, understanding of the South African Companies Act
Corporate Governance, NCR and NCA and related legislation
Ability to assess credit, quasi- Equity and equity risk and prepare necessary submissions to the various Committees for new clients and those being appraised for restructure etc.
Ability to monitor and validate the adequacy of loan security provided Understanding of Credit, Equity and Quasi equity lending and investment structures
Strong financial modelling, deal structuring, corporate finance, private equity, project finance, due diligence, analytics, and valuations.

Responsibilities:
The Credit Risk Manager ? origination and structuring, will assist the Credit Risk Executive with the design and implementation of
Appropriate credit and investment risk deal assessment processes. You will manage a team of Credit analysts to ensure that all credit and investment projects and opportunities that require development finance are taken through assessment processes and presented to sanctioning Committees. Facilitate deal structuring and negotiation of detailed terms with the Lending, Corporate Finance and Legal teams. You will collaborate and provide input to ongoing team discussions around the improvement of assessment processes and risk- Enhancing mechanisms. Manage all aspects of the transaction inclusive of, financial structuring, modelling, and legal documentation.
Structure and negotiate terms of debt, quasi- Equity, and equity development investments to align with the businesses mandate, risk
Tolerance and strategic direction.
Evaluate potential developmental finance opportunities by performing detailed credit and risk assessments, financial analysis, and market research.
Review legal documentation of credit and investment proposals and ensure adherence to policies and risk appetite.
Designing and oversee application processes, including validation of client data accuracy and integrity.
Maintenance of Policy Frameworks and processes.
Develop and maintain risk assessment models and tools for efficient and effective decision- Making.
Oversee financial closure of transactions approved by sanctioning Committees.
Collaborate and manage internal stakeholders including turnaround times and quality assurance.
Contribute to credit periodic reporting processes and other special use reports.
People Management.
