- LPIC1 Linux Administrator Certification, CompTIA Linux+ Certification or similar
- MCSA (Windows Server) certification OR MCSE: Core Infrastructure certification
- AWS SysOps Associate Certification
- 1+ Years- experience working in the AWS Cloud
- 2+ Years- experience in a lead role (Team Lead, Maintenance Lead etc.)
- 4+ Years- experience in both Linux and Windows Environments doing maintenance and support

- ITIL Foundation Certification
- Prince2 Foundation/ PMP Certification
Responsibilities:
- Ability to take lead of the Maintenance team to ensure proper coordination of duties along with proper motivation and guidance they might require from time to time.
- Develop and implement new standards, policies and procedures to enhance the overall efficiency of the team and enhance the overall client experience end-to-end.
- Perform complex server software upgrades, software updates, OS upgrades and server patching in the AWS Cloud - Proper Patch Management is essential.
- Taking ownership of actionable items as needed by our AWS Clients.
- Working with the AWS Engineering team and the Service Delivery Managers to ensure proper coordination across teams as projects transition into Service Contracts.
- Ensuring assigned tickets are progressed and cleared within the SLA commitments.
- Ensuring the overall Maintenance Team have the technical support they need to adhere to SLAs as defined in the Service Contracts.
- Ensure risks and issues are highlighted with clients, managed and assisting to remediate these items. Proper Risk Management is essential.
- Ensuring proper backups are taken, the automation there of, ensuring they are properly stored and have the required lifecycle policies associated as agreed between the Company and AWS Clients.
- Coordinating maintenance Windows with clients to ensure minimal impact to production environments can be attained in the event where there could be an impact.
- Continuously monitoring systems, setting up automation for alerting and making recommendations to clients where optimal performance and lower costs could be obtained in existing production environments.
- Ensure repeat Incidents in client environments follow due process to transition to Problem Management where a Root Cause Analysis (RCA) would then be done.
- Help provide training sessions to transfer knowledge to the Maintenance team or to customers, where needed.
